The Stamp used in this prototype was this one from 1984.

1985 issue

This is how the box looked like when sold in stores. 4 new Stamps.

Every smurfs have year markings on the back of their hears.

In 1985 Schleich had a lot of Hongkong-made smurfs because the US market for smurfs had collapsed.

Therefore many now were sold in Europe and other markets outside US.

These were first sold in Fall 1985.
