Helmet variations

The first helmet made for Astro smurf was smaller with big seams. Bully also used this helmet on
the smurfs they made before they made their own variation of Astro smurf in 1976. Schleich used
another helmet on the Astro smurfs made in Hongkong and also on the ones sold in UK. It had
a thinner seam. After 1980 Schleich got the Bully mold but I do not know if they got the helmet variation
from Bully also?

I am not sure which helmets were used on the Portugal variations.

So on the Astro smurf marking variations shown I am not sure if they always wear the correct helmet. :)

Dyar tells us these spare helmets were very common on Ebay around 2005. So I am sure
lots of Astros sold have got these spare helmets.

The HK helmets were already used in the beginning like on this Spaceman in Bag with the first
Hongkong marking on the hand.
