Papa 1977-1990

Very Common.

From around 1977 they started painting the tail blue. When Schleich got all the molds back they
for some reason did not add their companymarking again. Schleich started making these again in
1977/78 and Bully did not make any of the Schleichmolds after 1977. Probably Schleich and
Bully made some kind of agreement that Schleich could get the molds back from Bully but not
add their marking on them so both companies could sell these smurfs. Peyo most certainly was
involved in this.

This marking, with or without coloured dots, are the most common marking on the papa smurfs.
