Papa Hering Brazil, around 1982-1986

Very Rare.

Schleich had smurfs made in Southamerica according to their book so these smurfs are definatly
licensed genuine smurfs made in Brazil. But when Hering was not allowed to make the smurfs
anymore for Schleich the molds were used without permission from Schleich. Then with blocked
markings. Could also be that Minimodels in Argentina got all the molds from Hering in Brazil and
then blocked the Heringmarkings, but just like in the case between Bully and Schleich-markings,
could not add their own marking.

My guess is that many of these Heringmolds were used in Argentina after Hering lost the license.??

The years for these are not easy to know but Hering probably started making them around 1982
and my guess is that both Hering in Brazil and Minimodels in Argentina lost the licenses when
Schleich got financial problems in 1986 and made big changes in the organisation. So after 1986
these were probably made unlicensed.

I donĀ“t know how to rate these, but my feeling is that the marked one are more rare
compared to the one with blocked marking. Both are off course very rare and not
easily found in mint condition. :)
