Mustard paint dot
Painted in Portugal between oct 1978-1987
Schleich portugese partner Victor Maia started his company in June 1976 and
after the lead paint scare in the UK in autumn 1978 they were the first ones
adding the dots. I would say the mustard dots are probably the most common
paint dot on the smurfs before the bancruptcy in 1987. After 1987 they
changed colour on the dots to black or white.
